7 Barriers That Stop
Change From Happening

1. Beginning

We have all been at this stage.  How to begin? Where to begin? Starting a new challenge can be overwhelming and exciting at the same time. But do you stick with it short term and lose sight? If it is not connecting with you or is not meaningful to you on a deep level you are less likely to not achieve it. By creating a concrete plan with clear goals and intentions is how you get started and achieve them.

2. Impulsivity

While impulsivity drives you to take actions, it can ultimately turn into short term instead without a sense of direction. Just change the way you pursue your goals. Changing the nature of what you do so you feel more rewarded.  Consistency with activities that you enjoy gives you more gratitude therefore you do it longer!

3. Procrastination

It is a common problem, it is easier to delay and push it off too another day. Eventually you will become aware of your decisions that you are not making or eventually you will be aware of consequences in not achieving your goals.

4. Forgetfulness

Do you remember one thing that is so important and know you won't forget it, then the next day comes and it's gone?! You are not alone! Did you have a plan in place?  Surround yourself with reminders. We need to reset our intentions and make solid checklists so we are unable to forget the important things in life.

5. Laziness

You are not lazy.  You just think you are lazy.  Turns out it is a bad habit that you have set for yourself. It can take up to 90 days to create a new habit in your routine.  Be intentional. Make tasks and goals easier by removing all the temptations and distractions in your environment.

6. Confidence

You can be confident.  You are worthy of having confidence. You just need little reminders that tell you, you can achieve this.  By learning a growth mindset you will learn from your mistakes in the past, grow better, become stronger and remind yourself you are a work in progress!

7. Conformity

Your environment has turned you into the person that you are today.  Are your surroundings reminding you that you are unable to change?  Become aware of what needs to be different, who needs to say different things and start becoming a better version of you!
